Forever Loved: Eve’s Story

Forever Loved: Eve’s Story (a creative retelling)

Forever Loved: Eve’s Story is the story of Father and daughter, as told by Eve. It is the story of a love so deep, so passionate, so beautiful, it pursues Eve even in her darkest moment, lavishing forgiveness, life and hope on her. It is the story of the Father’s heart for you, his precious daughter. He whispers to you now and calls you closer.

One of my favourite types of book are those based on the Bible, but that look between the lines and explore the people held within its pages. So often we read narrative in the Bible, but there are no stage directions. It doesn’t go into details about how the characters felt about what was going on. I love the fact that Joanna May Chee looks behind the scenes into a very familiar Garden of Eden and explores the precious relationship between Adam, Eve and Papa (God). I confess that many of the themes explored, I hadn’t really thought about before, like the beautiful relationship between Creator and created, and it will definitely enhance my reading of Genesis from now on.

I loved this book – it felt like a warm embrace from Father God. I loved the intimacy that Eve shared with Papa and I’m jealous for some of that in my own life. It was also very sobering reading the after-effects of sin. Eve was deceived and had her judgement clouded, and the consequences were catastrophic. Anyone who has fallen under deception knows the power and devastation this can cause, and frankly it makes you want to weep with Eve as her world crumbles.

If I had a criticism, it would be that the book should be longer. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good to be left wanting more, and I suppose if anything it has made me want to read Genesis slowly and digest the subtext for myself.

I highly recommend this book and it is currently on special offer, so snap it up here:

This week only Forever Loved: Eve’s Story is on special offer on Amazon – Kindle £4.99 £2.99, and paperback £7.99 £5.99, or the rough equivalent in your currency. Forever Loved: Eve’s Story is also available from bookstores worldwide.
